About Our Founder

Welcome!

I am Lorna Romane, a certified health and wellness coach and the founder of Allure Balance. For most of my young life, I would consider myself someone who stayed active and ate fairly healthy food. My health and wellness journey began after the birth of my son. Every pregnant woman knows, cravings are a real thing. During my pregnancy, I gained over 60lbs.

After giving birth, I was still eating for two. My diet consisted of highly processed foods containing artificial coloring, flavors, and preservatives. Inevitably, I gained an additional 60 lbs. This extra weight negatively affected my body. I felt tired all the time and was in a state of chronic fatigue. I didn’t even have any energy to play with my son.

After a routine annual visit to the doctor, I was surprised to have been diagnosed with hypertension. Since my mother suffered from high blood pressure, the doctor prescribed medication to manage my condition. I was daunted at a life of taking prescription medication for the rest of my life, so I decided to take back my health.

Hippocrates, the father of medicine, has a quote that says, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. This quote, though thousands of years old, acknowledges the importance of healthy eating and how the nutrients in various foods have healing properties. I had to ground myself and find the discipline to return to my healthy habits. I needed to remember and feel how awesome I felt when I was practicing a healthier lifestyle. After I built up a stronger mindset, I decided one day I was tired of feeling sluggish and moody, so I did something about it.

My first step to healing my body and mind was to detox my physical body. This process helped to eliminate toxins and pollutants, and as a result, it didn’t only promote weight loss, it improved my overall health. I had more energy, better sleep at night, a youthful look, and increased my confidence. My hypertension had reversed to a normal level, and I knew then that everyone had the ability to heal themselves when they make a conscious decision to treat their body as their sanctuary. I have found my purpose in sharing the natural healing gifts of this world with others, so they too can change their lives for the better. We may feel like adopting a healthier lifestyle is an uphill battle and we don’t have the strength to do it, but I have found a holistic way to heal my mind, body, and spirit that breaks down these obstacles to obtain a healthier and happier lifestyle. This journey has propelled me to help individuals suffering from chronic diseases, obesity, fatigue, and mental illnesses to make a shift toward healing.
